As experience has shown around the world,
entrepreneurship education is most impactful and successful when young
people learn from role models that they can identify with. To date,
professors in most educational institutions in Central- and Eastern
European countries are lacking modern, local and relevant
entrepreneurship teaching materials and success stories that could
cater to their needs and nurture young people in the right way so they
can become successful entrepreneurs.
One of the main objectives of the New European Champions-project is the
development of such teaching materials for a more realistic
entrepreneurship education. This could be facilitated by introducing
local case studies into the curricular, and in the future involving the
entrepreneurs in classes to deliver a personal touch of inspiration.
Under the umbrella of the New European Champions-initiative, local
academics from the EFER network will develop 15 extensive case studies
that are based on the international experiences of the entrepreneurs we
have chosen. Those materials will be subject to the highest quality
standards and undergo a professional writing process that is
facilitated by some of the most experienced case writers.
We aim that this collection of cases will be published in a Book,
available to universities and entrepreneurship organisations across
Central- and Eastern Europe, but even beyond. Those cases can be taught
in English as well as well as in the local languages. We believe that
this publication will pioneer a new wave of European cases and teaching
methods to be used at universities and showcase real-life role models
to students and executives.
